Russian stainless steel (SS) flat product imports in November declined by 2.6pc to 21,600mt from October, according to data provided by Russia’s SpetsStal Association.
Cold-rolled flat products imports in November decreased by 14.1pc, while hot-rolled flat product imports grew by 45.8pc from the preceding month.
In November, 123 Russian companies directly imported flat products worth $53.35mn from across the globe. Despite the decline in volume, the cost of imports rose by 7pc from the prior month.
The top stainless steel exporter to Russia in November was India, which contributed 33.3pc of the total import, followed by China (29pc), Taiwan (6.4pc), Indonesia (6.1pc) and Slovenia (4.9pc).
