Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Russia´s unwrought copper exports increased by 1pc from January-July compared to the same period last year, according to the country’s Customs data. 

 

The country’s export volumes for the material stood at 386,947mt against 381,982mt during the same timeframe under review.

 

Unwrought copper exports volumes increased to 69,438mt in July, a 19pc increase against the 58,237mt of the same month in 2020. During this period, exports to its three top destinations -China, Germany, and Turkey- increased by 65pc, 325pc, and 300pc respectively to 28, 535mt, 15,252mt, and 12,974mt. Exports to the Netherlands, however, plunged 86pc from 17,979mt to 2,441mt during the annual period under comparison.

 

Russia´s 12,974mt unwrought copper exports to Turkey in July represent a 43-fold growth from the previous month when it registered zero exports.
