Chicago-based metal processor and distributor, Ryerson announced that its president for the Southeast region, Kevin Richardson has decided to retire effective Apr 2.
Richardson has served the company in various positions for 36 years, including being president for the Southeast since 2007. He will support the transition of his role until the end of this year by working on some major strategic projects and maintaining key supplier and customer relationships.
Meanwhile the company is looking for a replacement to fill Richardson’s position, it stated.
Additionally, Mike Burbach has been appointed as the company’s chief operating officer, overseeing its operations across North America, effective Apr 2. Burbach has been with the firm for 37 years and served the last 13 years as its president of Northwest region.
The company’s North American business has been split into three regions led by three separate regional presidents. Steve Bosway will serve as the president for the Western region, Eric McGill as the president for the Southern region and Jeff Redfield as the president of the Northern region.
