Steel Authority of India Limited’s (Sail) iron ore mines Raw Material Division (RMD) has reported a dispatch growth of 43.6pc to 0.2mn mt in April 2021, compared to same month in 2020, according to a company tweet this week.
Sail also registered a production growth of 16.6pc to 0.206mn mt. Kalta iron ore mine achieved lump production and dispatch of 139,500mt and 149,874mt, respectively.
The state-owned company’s consumption of iron ore was 28.88mn mt in FY20 and is expected to reach 39mn mt after its expansion work is complete.
