State-owned Steel Authority of India’s (Sail) production volume for Q3FY20 (Oct-Dec 2019) was at 3.9mn mt, up by 3pc from the prior year period.
Finished steel sales in the quarter rose by 26pc to 4.1mn mt.
Revenue from operations rose by 5pc to Rs167.28bn, up from Rs159.1bn in the prior year.
The company, however, posted a net loss of Rs429.63cr in the quarter.
The company is now paving the way to stabilise production from its new mills and introduce innovative and cost-effective products for better results in Q4.
