Metal processor and distributor Samuel and Sons plans to commission a new automotive processing facility in Queretaro, Mexico by January 2022.
The company said in a statement on Sep 1 that it expects the construction of this plant to get completed by Q4 2021. The new facility is about 140,000 sq ft and has a high-end slitter and other processing equipment required for automotive operations.
The company has invested close to $150mn on the expansion of its automotive sector business across North America, it stated. The production capacity of the new facility is yet to be disclosed by the firm.
