Australia-based miner Sandfire’s copper output rose by 1,370mt to 18,258mt in the December quarter (Oct-Dec 2019) from 16,888mt in the prior year.
Sandfire’s copper production guidance for fiscal year 2020 is 70,000- 72,000mt, up from 63,000-67,000mt in the prior year. Copper production in the six months (July-Dec 2019) was 34,988mt, up from 34,813mt in the prior year. Production increased driven by increased grades and associated recovery.
The company DeGrussa mill produced 77,087mt of copper concentrate as against 69,805mt in Oct-Dec 2018 and 18,258mt of contained copper from 16,888mt in Oct-Dec quarter of 2018.
