Iran-based Sangam Iron Ore Complex extracted 7.2mn mt of iron ore during the first seven months (March 21-Oct 22, 2020) of the Iranian calendar, up by 57pc from the prior-year period, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).
The company’s total sales of granulated iron ore stood at 550,000mt during the March-Oct period, while its supply of granulated iron ore to Isfahan Steel in the same period grew by 160pc as compared to the prior-year period.
The company is expecting to supply 1mn mt of granulated iron ore to Isfahan Steel by the end of the current Iranian year (March 2021).
The company informed that it is planning to build new iron ore processing plants at the complex and is preparing the ground for the supply of equipment for the units.
The Sangam Iron Ore Complex is located in Khaf County of Iran’s Khorasan Razavi province.
