Indian steelmaker Sarda Energy & Minerals’ iron ore pellet production rose by 67pc to 134,000mt in Q4 (Jan-Mar) of FY21 compared to the prior year quarter and down by 30pc compared to Q3.
Company’s pellet sales recorded a jump of 150pc to 109,000mt in Q4 over last year’s quarter, and up by 11pc compared to the previous quarter.
In FY21, the company’s pellet production was up by 3pc to 619,000mt compared to prior year while sales volume surged by 36pc to 426,000mt.
Sponge iron
The company’s sponge iron production was up by 29pc to 85,000mt in Q4 compared to prior year quarter and sales were up 16pc to 37,000mt.
Billet
The company’s billet production increased by 56pc to 53,000mt in Q4 compared to prior year period but was down by 1pc compared to previous quarter.
Wire rod
Wire rod production increased by 47pc to 43,000mt in Q4 compared to prior year period. Sales volume rose by 56pc to 35,000mt in the same period.
Ferro alloy
Ferro alloys production was up by 14pc to 39,000mt in Q4 compared to last year’s Q4, and sales volume up by 20pc to 38,000mt.
