Central India-based Sarda Energy & Minerals has received green signal from Chhattisgarh Environment Board to expand the capacity of its iron ore pellet plant from 600,000mt to 800,000mt at its Raipur unit with immediate effect.
The company is ready to operate iron ore pellet plant with the added capacity which could benefit its performance in the ongoing financial year ending on March 31.
Sarda Energy & Minerals is an integrated steel producer of long steel products with an iron ore pellet production capacity of 600,000mt, billet at 176,000mt, wire rod at 142,000mt and ferro alloys at 124,000mt.
