Sierra Metals expects copper and zinc production to be higher than 2019 levels while lead production is projected to be marginally lower.
Copper production is set to stand between 41-45.6mn lbs while in 2019 it was 40mn lbs. Zinc production is projected between 83.2-92.5mn lbs in 2020, which was 81.1mn lbs last year.
Lead production is forecast between 30.1-33.4mn lbs compared to 35.5mn lbs in 2019. Copper equivalent levels are projected at 110-122.3mn lbs while in 2019 it was 111.7mn lbs. The company reported their guidance in a December corporate presentation.
The company’s 2020 consolidated capex guidance is between $40-50mn and total EBIDTA guidance between $100-105mn.
In nine-months, copper production is at 33.6mn lbs, lead at 25.3mn lbs and zinc was reported at 60.3mn lbs by the company in the press release.
Yaurococha Polymetallic Mine
The company owns Yaurococha Polymetallic Mine that produces zinc, silver, lead, copper and gold. Mine’s mill throughput capacity is set to increase to 3,600mt per day in 2021 compared to 3,150mt per day. In 2019, the mine produced 78.4mn lbs of copper equivalent. The mine is set to increase output by 5,500 mt per day.
Bolivar Mine
Sierra Metals’ Bolivar Mine in Mexico produces copper, silver and gold with a mill throughput of 5,000mt a day in 2020 which is projected to double to 10,000mt per day in 2021. The mine produced 27mn lbs of copper equivalent in 2019. Cusi Silver Mine in Mexico is a major producer of silver, zinc, lead and gold with a 1,200mt per day output.
