Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Silvercorp Metals produced 9,110mt (20,078lbs) of lead in the June quarter (Q1), up by 1pc from a year ago and 3,418mt of zinc, down by 1pc from June 2019.

The company has two mines Ying Mining District and GC Mine. Both situated in China. Both mines produce silver, lead and zinc. Ying Mining District is on track to achieve its annual production guidance, according to the company’s press release. The mine produced 7,686mt of lead in Q1, flat from the prior year while zinc production declined by 6pc to 871mt in Q1 from the prior year. 

 

In Q1, GC Mine produced 1,423mt of lead, up by 6pc and 2,547mt of zinc, up by 8pc from the prior year quarter. Metallurgical recovery rates improved to 89.9pc for lead and 87.3pc for zinc, stated the company. Ore mined at the GC Mine decreased slightly to 80,379mt in Q1 from the prior year quarter. 

 

Silvercorp is a Canadian company producing silver, lead and zinc metals in concentrates from mines in China.
