Ford plans to increase production by 25pc at the Sollers Ford plant in Yelabuga, Russia, following increased demand for the Ford Transit model.
Order intake for Ford Transit started increasing in the Russian market since the beginning of the year. The company has planned to ramp up production to prevent backlog and help provide a smooth supply at dealerships.
Sollers Ford is also going to hire around 200 more employees to assist with the increased output, it said in a statement on May 14.
