Spanish die-caster Ruffini has resumed production after 30 days of closure. The company has several clients in Germany and other parts of Europe
The production resumption could help several downstream companies to soothe their supply chain difficulties.
Ruffini mainly manufactures high-pressure die-casting aluminium metal parts used in the automotive sector.
The company has a machine park with closing forces ranging from 500 to 2,500mt. Its total annual production capacity is 10,000mt with furnaces of 12,000mt aluminium melting capacity.
Spain reported the surge in COVID-19 cases since the second week of March. The government announced the first lockdown on April 14 which was subsequently extended till the second week of May.
