Strike Resources has finished loading 35,000mt of iron ore scheduled to leave the port of Pisco, Peru, bound for China.
This is the first shipment from the company’s Apurimac mine in Peru valued at $4.5mn noted the company on Aug 16.
Strike has targeted iron ore annualized sales of 250,000mt its Peru unit. Apurimac has reserves of 269.4mn mt of ore, with an average concentration of 57.3pc of iron.
William Johnson, managing director, Strike Resources, noted that the company also plans to ramp up production.
