Indian company Surya Steel Pipes has started commercial production oof 3LPE coated pipes at its second line at Anjar-Kutch in Gujarat, according to a company press release on March 31.
The installed capacity of the same plant is 0.9 lakh square mt annually which is over and above the existing capacity of 18,50,000 Sq mtr.
Post commencement of the plant, the company will take the advantage of higher capacity utilization of its existing Spiral and ERW pipes facilities with increase in the share of high value-added pipes and achieve savings in logistics and coating charges.
This will help in increase the presence in the domestic as well as Global steel pipes market for Oil and Gas division sector.
Surya’s steel has a capacity of producing ERW pipes with 230,000mt and Spiral pipes of 60,000mt per annum at Anjar-Kutch in Gujarat.
