China-based Taishan Iron & Steel commences production at its stainless steel cold-rolled coil assembly line on August 12. The first stainless steel cold rolled coil was produced at the company’s cold rolling mill No. 1 of Taishan Iron and Steel Group. The 304 stainless steel cold-rolled coils were competent in form and surface quality, said the company. The successful marks an important step taken by Taishan Iron and Steel in accelerating the extension to stainless steel industrial chain and catering to high-end stainless steel brands in the regions.
The production line is in built with advanced technology for fully automatic thickness and shape control and the recycling of the attached products. The mills can produce various kinds of stainless steel and steel grades.
Shandong Taishan Iron & Steel Group has an annual production capacity of 3mn mt of fine steel plate and strip and 600,000mt of stainless steel. The company’s products includes 200 series, 300 series, 400 series, J4 series and more than 60 specs of stainless steel. The company exports to markets in Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East.
