Indian carmaker Tata Motors’ domestic sales rose by 21.6pc in August to 35,420 units from 29,140 units in the prior year month, said a company release.

In Passenger Vehicle segment, the company witnessed a staggering growth of 154pc to 18,583 units from 7,316 units in the year prior while the Commercial Vehicle segment witnessed a degrowth of 28pc with 17,889 units being sold in August 2020, down from 24,850 units in Aug 2019.
