Tata Steel BSL (TSBSL) has posted a net loss of Rs6.58bn ($86.9mn) in Q1FY21 (April-June) compared to a net profit of Rs1.11bn in the prior year quarter.
The company’s total revenue slid by 38pc to Rs26.97bn from Rs43.3bn in the prior- year quarter. Crude steel production in the June ended quarter (Q1FY21) fell by 41pc to 659,000mt from 1.12mn in the prior year quarter on the back of COVID-19 related restrictions.
