Telson Mining increased zinc concentrate production by 8pc at its Campo Morado mine in, Guerrero, Mexico, to 11,900mt in Q2 2021 from 11,000mt in Q1, according to its quarterly report published today.

 

The Canadian miner also reported that its lead concentrate production increased 42pc in the April-June period compared to January-March, to 2,700mt from 1,900mt.

 

The volume of both concentrates increased despite a 6pc decline in ore extraction between Q1 and Q2, to 164,100mt from 174,400mt.

 

The realized price of zinc increased 3pc for the second quarter of 2021 compared to the first quarter, to $2,758/mt from $2,679/mt. While the realized price of lead rose 1pc, to $2,002/mt from $1,982/mt.

 

The Canadian company’s net profits increased 36pc in the April-June period compared to January-March, to $16.2mn from $11.9mn.
