Tengkai Metal New Material Project in Xiangshui County, China, is set to be operational by mid-August or early September, according to media reports. The project has an annual capacity to produce 1mn mt stainless steel wire coils and bars.
Once operational, the mill will be able to produce 300,000mt of wire coils and 700,000mt of small bars annually.
The project is presently in the equipment installation stage. Lifting frame and suspension structure of the heating furnace have already been installed. The heating furnace installation is expected to commence by end of July and could end by the beginning of August. In mid-July, the loading platform, including rolling line, collection, and cooling bed, will enter the installation stage.
