Thailand extended anti-dumping (AD) duty on cold-rolled stainless steel flats from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan after the third sunset review of the measures first imposed in 2003. The final ruling was made on Feb 18 with the decision to continue anti-dumping duties at cif tax rates 0-50.92pc for Japanese origin, 50.99pc for South Korean imports and 0-33.99pc for Taiwanese imports. These measures are for five years ending on Feb 17, 2026.

7219.33.00.032, 33, 37, 38, 54, 55;

The anti-dumping probe on CR SS flat products originating in the European Union, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan was initiated in February 2002, following which an affirmative final AD ruling was levied on March 13, 2003 for five years. In March 2009, Thailand extended the duty for the first time but dropped duties on imports from the European Union. In 2015 the duties were extended for the second time until Feb 25, 2020. The third AD sunset review on CR SS flat products originating in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan started on Feb 24, 2020.
