Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Japanese automobile manufacturers, Toyota and Honda reported a rise in their global production volumes in November.

 

Toyota, including its sub-brands Daihatsu and Hino, produced 938,680 units last month, up 2.2pc from the same month last year, while Honda produced 457,671 cars rising by 11.4pc during the same period under comparison. China accounted for a major share in output increase for both car manufacturers. 

 

Sales

In November, Toyota’s global sales rose 0.6pc on an annual basis to 929,869 units, of which 203,321 cars were sold in the Japanese domestic market. During the same period under comparison, Honda’s sales in Japan grew by 16pc to 51,640 units. The latter did not release its global sales figures.
