Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Arkansas-based Tri-State Iron & Metal has bought a local auto salvage company, A-1 Auto Parts in Texarkana, for an undisclosed sum.

According to media reports, the acquisition will help Tri-State expand its capacity as well as its Pickers Self-Service Auto parts business in Texarkana and enhance the company’s presence in auto recycling.

Tri-State plans to add A-1 to its Pickers subsidiary, which will handle the acquired company’s customer base moving forward. The company plans to clean up and offer the A-1 property for sale.

Pickers currently operates in Texarkana; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Longview and Reno in Texas.
