Trigon Metals has renewed its Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the mining on its Namibian Mining Licences.
The ECC is valid for three years and is a critical step in the company’s plans to begin copper mining operations at the Kombat Mine by the end of the year.
The Kombat Mine is located in the Otavi Mountainlands, Namibia, and covers an area of over 7,500ha. The company estimates the facility to produce 6,000mt of copper in 2022 and will increase output to 16,500mt in 2024.
