Canadian miner Trigon plans to resume copper concentrate production at its Kombat mine in Namibia at an initial capacity of 5,443mt per year.
Trigon plans to increase the mine’s annual copper concentrate processing capacity to 15,000mt from 2024, according to a statement on Thursday. Initial mining will begin in the second half of this year.
The company had assessed 7.35mn mt of indicated resources of copper, lead, and silver at the Kombat open pit facility in September last year.
