Tulachermet produced 234,600mt of pig iron in June this year, 5,000mt more than the previous month by operating two blast furnaces simultaneously. 

 

This is the second time in a row that the Russian company has set a manufacturing record after producing close to 229,900mt of pig iron in May 2020.

 

After the overhaul of its blast furnace #3 in March-April this year, the company has been able to boost its output and has been able to produce 8,000mt of pig iron per day by operating two blast furnaces it said in a statement. 

 

The firm plans to focus on new investment projects like reconstructing its blast furnace #1 and constructing a new pair of separation units that will further help to increase output.
