Turkey’s auto production in H1 (Jan-June) increased by 23pc at 639,661 units, this includes passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and tractors, according to the data released by Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD).
In H1, car production climbed by 14.8pc to 416,021 units and capacity utilization was around 65pc as compared to last year.
In June, total auto production was up by 3.8pc to 107,219 units. Contrastingly, car production fell by 15.9pc to 62,441 units as compared to June last year.
Automobile exports in June dropped by 0.5pc to remain almost flat at 70,458 units and car exports fell by 17.1pc to 40,506 units. In Jan-June period, total exports rose by 14.8pc to 461,528 units.
Sales for cars and light commercial vehicles increased by 9.3pc in June as compared to the prior-year period to reach 62,348 units.
