Turkey auto production was reported at 116,088 units in February, down by 9.3pc from the year prior. Passenger cars production is down by 22.4pc at 68,105 units from the previous year, according to local auto body.
Auto exports in February has slipped by 14.3pc to 87,908 units. February auto production figures was released by Turkey’s autobody, Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD).
Auto production in January-February period stood at 222,264 units, down by 6.5pc from the prior year period. Capacity utilization rate for auto sector in February was around 68pc.
Light and heavy commercial vehicles’ production was higher in February compared to the prior year. Heavy truck production rose by 75pc while light trucks’ production increased by 120pc. Production of bus and minibus took a hit and fell by 63pc and 14.2pc, respectively.
Sales of cars and light commercial vehicles rose by 37.4pc to 102,232 units.
