The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey inched up by TRY47/mt to TRY4,168/mt ($475/mt) delivered on Monday after two integrated steel mills raised their purchase prices.
Erdemir and Isdemir announced new purchase prices for DKP grade at TRY4,415/mt delivered and TRY4,355/mt delivered, respectively, on Jun 18, increasing them by TRY75-150/mt, while the other steelmakers kept their purchase prices at previous levels.
Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Demir Celik, and Kroman continue buying DKP grade at TRY4,280/mt delivered, TRY3,970/mt delivered, and TRY4,000/mt delivered, respectively. Kardemir has been paying TRY4,280/mt delivered for the grade since Jun 1.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region remained flat at $480/mt delivered for the fourth consecutive week.
