Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey fell by TRY161/mt ($21/mt) to TRY3,291/mt ($436/mt) delivered on Monday amid lower prices for imported material.

 

Over the week, Colakoglu Metalurji reduced its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY100/mt to TRY3,445/mt delivered, while Diler Demir Celik and Kroman cut them by TRY220/mt and TRY250/mt to TRY3,200/mt delivered and TRY3,120/mt delivered, respectively. The most recent price revision was done on Mar 13.

 

Erdemir decreased its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY150/mt to TRY3,455/mt delivered over the week, and Isdemir dropped it by TRY250/mt to TRY3,315/mt delivered. Kardemir is now paying TRY3,645/mt delivered for DKP grade compared to TRY3,720/mt delivered a week ago.

 

Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region fell by $25/mt to $420/mt delivered over a week in a sluggish market.
