Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey was flat at TRY3,378/mt ($408/mt) delivered on Monday after Turkish steelmakers opted to hold their purchase prices.

 

Colakoglu Metalurji and Diler Demir Celik continued buying DKP grade at TRY3,525/mt delivered and TRY3,270/mt delivered, respectively on Monday, while Kroman’s purchase prices for the same grade have remained at TRY3,230/mt delivered, since last week.

 

Erdemir and Isdemir are still paying TRY3,585/mt delivered and TRY3,430/mt delivered, respectively, for DKP grade, while Kardemir has kept its purchase price unchanged for this grade at TRY3,730/mt delivered.

 

Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region surged by $28/mt to $420/mt delivered on Monday after a month of stability.
