The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey was flat at TRY4,162/mt ($486/mt) delivered on Monday as the country returned from the Kurban Bayrami holidays.
Most Turkish mills held their purchase prices unchanged with Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Demir Celik, and Kroman continuing to buy DKP grade at TRY4,280/mt delivered, TRY3,970/mt delivered, and TRY3,900/mt delivered, respectively.
Erdemir and Isdemir are still paying TRY4,340/mt delivered and TRY4,205/mt delivered, respectively, for the same grade, while Kardemir’s purchase price for DKP grade remains at TRY4,530/mt delivered.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region were also unchanged at $480/mt delivered.
