The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey inched down by TRY1/mt to TRY4,161/mt ($498/mt) delivered on Monday as market sentiment diverged.
Turkish mills are following different pricing policies with some producers holding their ferrous scrap prices unchanged last week, some others decreasing them, and a mill also increasing its purchase prices.
Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Demir Celik, and Kardemir continued buying DKP grade at TRY4,280/mt delivered, TRY3,970/mt delivered, and TRY4,530/mt delivered, respectively.
Kroman raised its purchase prices for the grade by TRY50/mt to TRY3,950/mt delivered on Jul 31, while Erdemir and Isdemir reduced them by TRY60/mt and TRY100/mt to TRY4,280/mt and TRY4,105/mt delivered, respectively, on Jul 29.
