Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey increased by TRY212/mt ($26/mt) to TRY3,410/mt ($420/mt) delivered on Monday on improving demand in the domestic market.

 

Colakoglu Metalurji raised its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY185/mt to TRY3,525/mt delivered over the week, while Diler Demir Celik and Kroman lifted them by TRY250/mt and TRY385/mt to TRY3,360/mt delivered and TRY3,310/mt delivered, respectively. The most recent price revision was done on Apr 1.

 

Erdemir and Isdemir increased their purchase price for the same grade by TRY190/mt and TRY240/mt to TRY3,575/mt delivered and TRY3,485/mt delivered, respectively.

 

Kardemir is now buying DKP grade at TRY3,730/mt delivered compared to TRY3,470/mt delivered a week ago.

 

Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region remained unchanged at $392/mt delivered over a week, but they are expected to follow the general uptrend in the market in the near term.
