The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey was unchanged at TRY4,168/mt ($477/mt) delivered on Monday as most Turkish steelmakers opted to hold their purchase prices.
Colakoglu Metalurji and Diler Demir Celik continue buying DKP grade at TRY4,280/mt delivered and TRY3,970/mt delivered, respectively, while Kroman’s purchase price for the same grade remains at TRY4,000/mt delivered.
Erdemir and Isdemir are still paying TRY4,415/mt delivered and TRY4,355/mt delivered, respectively, for DKP grade, while Kardemir has kept its purchase price for this grade at TRY4,280/mt delivered.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region remained flat at $480/mt delivered for the fifth consecutive week.
