The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey declined by TRY34/mt ($4.50/mt) to TRY3,423/mt ($457/mt) delivered on Monday after most mills cut their purchase prices on Jan 7-9.
Colakoglu Metalurji, Erdemir, and Isdemir decreased their purchase price for DKP scrap by TRY40/mt to TRY3,575/mt delivered, TRY3,625/mt delivered, and TRY3,365/mt delivered, respectively. Kroman announced a new purchase price for the grade at TRY3,305/mt delivered, down TRY50/mt, while Diler Demir Celik kept it unchanged at TRY3,350/mt delivered.
Kardemir cut its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY200/mt to TRY3,625/mt delivered.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region remained unchanged at $463/mt delivered over a week.
