The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey declined by TRY39/mt to TRY4,029/mt ($476/mt) delivered on Monday due to lower prices for imported material and steel products.
Most Turkish mills dropped their purchase prices for DKP grade scrap with Diler Demir Celik and Isdemir reducing them by TRY100/mt to TRY3,600/mt delivered and TRY3,905/mt delivered, respectively, between Aug 19 and Aug 21.
Kroman cut its purchase price for the grade by TRY50/mt to TRY3,800/mt delivered, while Kardemir decreased it by TRY200/mt to TRY4,130/mt delivered.
Still, Colakoglu Metalurji and Erdemir both continue paying TRY4,280/mt delivered for DKP grade.
