Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Turkey ferrous scrap imports rose by 8pc in November to 1627,748mt from the prior year and increased 42pc from prior month, according to trade data accessible to Davis Index.

 

In November 2019, The Netherlands was the highest ferrous scrap exporter to Turkey, with a 22pc share at 3,63,119mt, followed by the US with 19pc share at 301,539mt; the UK with 13pc at 214,124mt; Belgium 8pc or 125,793; Russia Federation 6pc or 104,368 mt; Lithuania 5pc or 74,659 mt and Denmark 4pc or 58,178 mt and the rest from other countries.

 

Turkish imports from The Netherlands were up by 22pc to 3,63,119 mt from 1,40,683 mt in October. Import from the UK and Belgium significantly up by 107pc and 212pc, respectively, in November, compared to the previous month. Imports from the Lithuania and Denmark also increased by 111pc and 89pc in November compared to the previous month.

 

During Apr- Nov 2019, Turkey ferrous scrap export stood were closed to 12.3mn mt.
