The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey soared by TRY251/mt ($32/mt) to TRY2,854/mt ($364/mt) delivered on Monday amid active buying and a bullish imported ferrous scrap market.
Colakoglu Metalurji and Diler Demir Celik both raised their purchase prices for DKP grade by TRY270/mt to TRY2,915/mt delivered and TRY2,840/mt delivered, respectively. Kroman increased its purchase price for the same material by TRY220/mt to TRY2,770/mt delivered, while Mescier lifted DKP grade tags by TRY160/mt to TRY2,570/mt delivered.
Erdemir announced new purchase price for DKP grade at TRY2,845/mt delivered early in December, TRY150/mt higher than its previous price, while Isdemir continued buying the grade at TRY2,555/mt delivered, unchanged from last week.
Kardemir is now paying TRY2,985/mt delivered for DKP grade versus TRY2,770/mt delivered a week ago.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region increased by $5/mt to $350/mt delivered due to solid demand.
