The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey increased by TRY82/mt ($11/mt) to TRY3,452/mt ($449/mt) delivered on Monday, following the uptrend in the imported ferrous scrap market.
Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Demir Celik, and Kroman raised their purchase prices for DKP grade on Mar 6 by TRY70/mt to TRY3,545/mt delivered, TRY3,420/mt delivered, and TRY3,370/mt delivered, respectively.
Erdemir lifted its purchase price for the grade by TRY280/mt to TRY3,605/mt delivered over the week, while Isdemir increased it by TRY200/mt to TRY3,565/mt delivered.
Kardemir is now buying DKP grade at TRY3,720/mt delivered compared to TRY3,620/mt delivered a week ago.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in Izmir region rose by $20/mt to $445/mt delivered due to solid demand.
