Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Turkish producers’ non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) for February fell by 2.46pc in February against the previous month but rose by 28.27pc from the same month last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).


The ND-PPI climbed in manufacturing by 28.29pc and mining and quarrying rose by 26.49pc in February compared to the same prior-year month. Basic metal production increased by 40.62pc, metal ores prices were up by 31.37pc, fabricated metal products improved by 29.56pc, motor vehicles increased by 25.91pc, and machinery and equipment rose by 26.72pc in the same timeframe.

Turkey’s ND-PPI declined by 2.76pc on mining and quarrying while manufacturing fell by 2.45pc in February compared to the previous month. Durable goods declined by 3.81pc while non-durable goods performed dropped by 3.27pc last month against January. Intermediate goods fell by 1.82pc during the same period. 


Basic metals fell by 0.7pc and metal ores dropped by 1.15pc in February compared to the previous month. During the same period, fabricated metals decreased by 2.34pc, motor vehicles declined by 3.91pc, and machinery and equipment dropped by 4.11pc.
