Russian mining company Udokan Copper has started setting up its copper extraction plant in Russia. The plant’s forecasted copper ore processing capacity is 2,000mt per hour, according to Alexey Yaschuk, deputy general director of the company.
Yaschuk reiterated on Thursday that Udokan is the first company to use water-based solvents or hydrometallurgical/electrowinning to process copper ore.
Udokan is the largest undeveloped copper deposit in Russia.
