Ukrainian steelmaker Dnipro Metallurgical Plant (DMP) is resuming operations, including with its blast furnace, this week.
DMP, which is part of DCH Group and has been under care and maintenance, suspended production in late Q3 2019 as part of a $300mn investment program that will be carried out over five years.
The firm is an important Ukrainian steel billet and pig iron exporter. Its crude steel output was 921,000mt in 2018 and 511,000mt in 2019, while its pig iron production totaled 492,000mt in 2019.
