Ukraine’s Pig iron production in the first two months of the year  stood at 3.506mn mt, up by 4.5pc from 3.355mn mt produced in the same period in 2020, according to the preliminary data released by the Ukrmetalurgprom association.

 

Steel production

The country’s steel output in the Jan-Feb,  however, fell by 1.1pc to 3.513mn mt as compared to 3.553mn mt produced in the prior-year period.

 

Rolled metal output

In the two-month period, Ukraine’s rolled metal output stood at  3.156mn mt, down by 0.5pc from 3.140mn mt produced in the Jan-Feb period in 2020.

 

In February 2021, Ukraine produced 1.688mn mt of pig iron, while the production of steel and rolled metal stood at 1.674mn mt and 1.493mn mt, respectively.

 

In January 2021, Ukraine’s pig iron production stood at 1.817mn mt, while steel output and rolled metal output stood at 1.841mn mt and 1.659mn mt, respectively.

 

In 2020, Ukraine’s cumulative crude steel output stood at 20.6mn mt, down by 1.1pc as compared to 2019, according to the World Steel Association (Worldsteel).
