Ukraine’s pig iron exports increased last year amid sustained demand for it in foreign outlets.
The country exported 3.104mn mt of pig iron in 2020, up by 20pc compared to 2019, according to Ukrainian customs. The main destination for the material was the USA (58pc), followed by China (22pc), and Turkey (6pc).
In December, Ukraine’s pig iron exports increased by 21pc to 277,000mt compared with the same month in 2019.
Pig iron production in Ukraine climbed by 2pc to 20.423mn mt during the period under review, according to Ukrmetalurgprom data.
