Ukrainian mill Zaporizhstal, produced 343,400mt of pig iron in July 2020, up by 3.4pc from July 2019.
Zaporizhstal, which is a part of the Metinvest group, restarted its blast furnace No. 5 after maintenance in May, which reached full capacity of 2,900mt per day, as Davis Index reported earlier.
In the meantime, crude steel and finished steel products output decreased by 5.5pc and by 1.8pc to 304,600mt and 255,400mt, respectively in July 2020.
In January-July 2020, Zaporizhstal produced 2.505mn mt of pig iron versus 2.451mn mt in the same period of 2019. Crude steel output decreased by 9.4pc to 2.120mn mt while finished steel output declined by 8.5pc to 1.804mn mt.
