Ukraine-based Zaporizhzhya Iron Ore Plant’s iron ore production in the first quarter of the year (Jan-March 2021) stood at 1.211mn mt, up by 6.7pc as compared to the prior-year period, according to the data released by the company.

The company said that its iron ore output in Q1 2021 exceeded its planned quarterly production by 1.8pc.

In March 2021, the plant produced 419,100mt of iron ore, exceeding its monthly output plan by 1.7pc.

 

Sales

In the Jan-Mar period, the company shipped 1.133mn mt of iron ore, while in March 2021, the company’s shipments stood at 402,800mt.

In 2020, the plant produced 4.565mn mt of iron ore, while sales for the same stood at 4.558mn mt.

 

The Zaporizhzhia Iron Ore Plant is an underground iron ore mining complex. The company sells 50pc of its output in the domestic Ukrainian market and exports 50pc to other European countries.
