The US Department of Commerce has finalized antidumping duties on hot-rolled steel from Japan.
The department said in a notification on Aug 25 that it was levying final duties on Nippon Steel and Tokyo Steel after preliminary findings confirmed sales at less than the fair value of the material between the period of review (POR) of October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019.
Commerce has kept the AD duties for Tokyo Steel and Nippon Steel at 6.8pc and 11.7pc respectively. There were no shipments from Honda, Panasonic, and Mitsui during the POR. The department has also maintained its 10.95pc duty on the below companies from its preliminary filing in February 2021.
