The US Department of Commerce has levied preliminary antidumping duties (AD) on metal lockers imported from China after an investigation revealed that the product was sold at less than fair value.

 

In a notification on Feb 10, Commerce said that the duties were being levied for the period of review from January 1, 2020, to June 30, 2020, and asked interested companies to comment on these preliminary duties.

 

Under the preliminary order, Commerce has levied a preliminary AD of 26.87pc on 12 exporters and 322.25pc on the China-wide entity. It has also slapped a cash deposit rate of 16.33pc on these companies and 311.71pc on China-wide entities dealing in and exporting metal lockers to the US.
